This is a fun inflatable water slide for younger kids from LittleTikes. Little Tikes specialize in bouncers and other inflatable units for the younger children. In fact, they are probably best known for their fast and easy to set up bouncers. Well, the Little Tikes Rocky Mountain River Race is just as fast and easy to set up and there is a heap to do on it.

This isn’t a Banzai water slide like many others on the site. It is made by Little Tikes and it appears to be a completely unique design to many of the other brands out there. This is refreshing as many water slides seem to be very similar but simply have a different color and brand name to them. Anyhow, enough of that, let’s get off to the Rocky Mountain River Race slide.
This inflatable is a bit like the obstacle course from Gladiators for little kids. There is a large central climbing wall that has various handles and foot holes for kids; to use to scale the wall. The top of the wall leads to two curving slides. The curving slides drop down into a splash pool come paddle pool.
It seems the point of the slide is to have a race to get up to the slides first. There is an all-important bucket of water at the top of the scaling wall. That allows the person that climbs the wall first to tip water over those that follow. This adds a competitive element to playing on this slide.
Maybe kids could have a best of three race to see who can splash each other the most. Again, this could get quite boisterous so adult supervision is required at all times. Especially if there is going to be a competitive element to the play.
However, there doesn’t need to be a race and some kids might even like have the water tipped on them (after all, it could be a hot day !) The kid could use their discretion to tip or not to tip and this could be a game in itself without the racing.
The Little Tikes Rocky Mountain River Race water slide comes with its own blower; stakes for planting the inflatable into the ground for extra stability and a repair kit for any mishaps. It can be inflated quickly and taken down just as fast. You can fold it away in a sleeping bag sized storage bag that can be placed in the garage for next summer. Or taken to the grandparents or friends next time you visit.
